Self Integrative Care

Self Integrative Care is a private practice with a focus on prevention and wellness.
A functional medicine approach, cutting edge testing and protocols are used to address difficult conditions.

Shortly after relocating to Seattle, WA from the Midwest in 1985, while working as an RN and pursuing an active lifestyle, hiking and backpacking, Carolyn met her husband Dave. After Carolyn earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of California as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Carolyn and Dave returned to Washington state. Carolyn began working for a remote rural hospital clinic system as an FNP/CNM, creating a birthing room, doing full scope midwifery and providing primary care. Carolyn continued working in North Central Washington for almost ten years, hiking in the Cascades, and climbing rocks and mountains with her husband in her time off.

In 2002, Carolyn and Dave relocated to Oregon and Carolyn began seeing patients in the Rogue Valley at La Clinica del Valle. Being drawn to Functional Medicine, Carolyn pursued working with leaders in this field. In September 2005, she opened her own practice, Self Integrative Care, at its current location in Ashland, OR. A year later, as the practice grew, Dave began managing the clinic… and the fish tank.
